About Us
Meldrum Paths Group (MPG) was founded in March 2012 with the aim to develop and help maintain paths around Oldmeldrum.
In the early years and even before MPG was formed, a number of local folk were working to improve active travel routes in and around Oldmeldrum and between nearby communities. You can read all about the various projects, surveys and achievements on our “Our Story” page
In September 2021 we set up Oldmeldrum Community Ebikes – a project to provide very low cost ebike rental to the community
In November 2022 Meldrum Paths Group achieved recognition as a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO Number SCO51977)

to advance, encourage and facilitate the creation and management of local path networks in Oldmeldrum and linking Oldmeldrum to surrounding communities for the purpose of sustainable active travel, recreation and tourism;

to keep open existing routes & networks and to liaise with land managers in the maintenance of existing paths and development of new paths;

to advance community well-being and improve accessibility between local communities through provision of opportunities for walking and wheeling for all ages and abilities;
4
to encourage and support sustainable travel options in the Oldmeldrum area.
